Bill Gibbs Memorial Basketball Tournament

Harmony Grove will host the 7th annual Bill Gibbs Memorial Tournament.  The tournament will tip-off Monday, December 1st at 4:00 pm.  There are eight boys and girls teams from central Arkansas that are competing for the trophy.  The field includes Bauxite, Fountain Lake, Harmony Grove, Jessieville, Mount Ida, Mount Vernon-Enola, Ouachita, and Poyen. The senior boys jumped out to a 17-10 lead at the end of the 1st quarter.  They would add to that lead by outscoring the Lions 18-8 in the 2nd and built their lead to 35-18 at the break.  Mount Ida would respond after the half by outscoring the Cardinals in the 3rd quarter 20-12

Strong 4th quarter lifts Lady Cards over Arkadelphia 33-30

The Lady Cardinals (1-2) secured their first victory of the season with a 33-30 win over the Arkadelphia Lady Badgers.  The Lady Badgers started strong with a 12-4 lead after the first quarter of play.  They were able to disrupt the Cardinal offense with full court pressure and convert off turnovers.  In the second quarter

Jr Cheer earns Grand Champions

Saturday at Glen Rose High School the Junior High Cheer team placed 1st in their division, won Overall Cheer, Overall Dance, and Grand Champions.

Dempsey signs with Harding University

Kristen Dempsey signed her National Letter of Intent to play softball at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.  Dempsey has had an outstanding career with the Lady Cardinals with a .421 batting average, 20 home runs, 123 RBI’s.  She also leads the Lady Cards in the circle with a career record of 51-12 and 378 strikeouts.

Fouke overpowers HG for the 26-7 win

Fouke started quick and finished strong Friday night at Sykes Stadium.  Fouke wasted no time scoring on the first play from scrimmage with a 72 yard touchdown run.  The extra point attempt was good giving the Panthers a 7-0 early lead.  The first Cardinal’s possession went three and out and they were forced to punt.

Senior High splits, Junior High sweeps Ouachita

In the senior boys game, Harmony Grove jumped out to commanding 35-17 lead after the first quarter.  Ouachita was able to outscore the Cards in the second quarter 15-9 cutting the Cardinal’s lead to 44-32 at the half.  The Cardinals jumped on the Warriors in the third quarter outscoring them 23-12 extending their lead to

Playoff Ticket Price Change

Due to the price set by the Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) there will be a dollar increase on ticket prices from $5.00 to $6.00 dollars during the state football playoffs.  Only AAA passes will be accepted.  Ticket booth will open at 5:00 pm Friday, November 14th. PassSample_2014-15
