Boys Varsity Football · 2018 7-4A All-Conference

The Harmony Grove football team received 5 all-conference selections for the 2018 season. The team finished with a record of 5 wins and 5 loses in the tough 7-4A Conference. The all-conference selections are as follows:

#1 Logan Whitley (Sr.) – Whitley lead the Cardinals from under center this year. The senior completed 15 of 32 passes for 324 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was also a run threat out of the backfield with 72 carries for 462 yards and 8 touchdowns, also he lead the team in kickoff returns on the season with 294 yards (36.75 yds/return) and one touchdown.

#3 Jake Brooks (Sr.) – Brooks is a three time all-conference selection for the Cardinals. He lead HG in rushing this season with 127 carries for 807 yards (6.35 ypc) and 11 touchdowns.  The versatile senior linebacker also lead the Cardinals on the defensive side of the ball with 80 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 2 forced fumbles.


#27 James Webb (Sr.) – Webb was a key component on both sides of the ball for Harmony Grove this season. On defense he recorded 56 tackles and 2 tackles for loss from his linebacker position.  On offense he rushed for 356 yards on 95 carries and had 3 touchdowns. He also caught 4 passes for 50 yards.


#52 Shane Small (Sr.) – Small was the leader of the offensive line for the 2018 season from his right guard position. He lead the line while grading out at 75.26% and recording 9 pancake blocks for the year. On defense he was key part of the defensive line playing all three positions for the Cardinals. He recorded 8 tackles and 1 interception.


#62 Mason Massey (Sr.) – Massey is a two time all-conference selection for HG. He was a key part of the defensive line where he tallied 27 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 4 fumble recoveries. Offensively he was a mainstay on the line while playing multiple positions for the Cardinals. There he graded out at 70.7% and had 8 pancake blocks.
