Boys Varsity Football · Cards receive two AAA All-State honors

The Harmony Grove Cardinals finished their historic season by receiving two AAA All-State honors. Senior quarterback / free safety Hunter Hilson and junior running back / linebacker Jake Brooks received this prestigious award.

Hilson lead the Cardinal offense the last two seasons. He finishes his Cardinal career 304 for 520 passing for 4,239 yards and 43 touchdowns. This season he completed 150 passes out of 253 attempts for 2,006 yards and 18 touchdowns. He lead the 5-3A Conference in passing yards, passing touchdowns, completions, and attempts. He rushed for 359 yards on 101 carries for 6 touchdowns. He was also a two time all-conference selection.

Brooks lead the defense this season with 105 tackles from his middle linebacker position. He also lead the Cardinals with 12 tackles for loss and had 2 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries. On the offensive side of the ball he rushed for 904 yards on 163 carries (5.55 YPC) and 14 touchdowns. The versatile back had 6 receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown. He is also a two time all-conference selection for the 5-3A Conference.
