Malvern captures lead early to defeat Harmony Grove

Harmony Grove fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 4-1 loss to Malvern on Thursday. Malvern scored on a home run by Dalton Bray in the first inning.

Demias Jimerson earned the win for Malvern. He threw seven innings, giving up one run, three hits, and striking out 11.  Hunter Hilson took the loss for the Cardinals.

Hunter Hilson started the game for Harmony Grove. He tossed four and a third innings, surrendering three runs, four hits, and striking out four.

Logan Gartin went 0-for-2 at the plate as he led the team with one run batted in.

Malvern collected six hits. Jimerson and Turnner each collected multiple hits for Malvern.
